And so we come to the end of it. 2012 is nearly done with and 2013 promises, well, very little. For those of you who think me a little pessimistic, nothing could be further from the truth. Here's why.
Today I am running in the Race Against Cancer 2012 run being held in Singapore, organized by the Singapore Cancer Society. I am running in honor of my late sister, Frédy van Boggelen (née van der Ros) who lost her fight against cancer and other related illnesses six years ago. I originally wanted to use this race and this blog to help raise funds for cancer research. However, the more I thought about it, the more I felt my participation in this race should be more for personal reasons than the need to raise funds.
